On behalf of Hawaii patients, 420 HI State looks forward to leading a new era in healthcare based on sound medical cannabis research and safe production protocols.Job Description: Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager is responsible for the grow portion of facility operations, including developing a detailed plan and timeline for plant production from seed to harvest. The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager will be expected to generate a clean product meeting all lab testing requirements at targeted yield levels. He/she will initiate a continuous harvest schedule to consistently meet the demands of the qualifying patients of the state and ensure the quality and variety of the final products. The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager will oversee a team of Horticultural Production staff to help carry out his/her plan.
Requirements and Qualifications: The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager will have expert knowledge of the marijuana plant and its cultivation. Must be knowledgeable in various growing techniques, soil and nutrient mixtures, and pest control. Must be able to diagnose plant deficiencies, diseases… in addition to expert understanding of the drying and curing process and of the necessary environmental controls including temperature and humidity levels, IPM systems, Co2 systems, etc. The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager will have 5+ years experience growing large amounts of high quality, legal marijuana indoors and outdoors using soil and hydroponics and will have 5+ years of management experience. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and a HS Diploma. A Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Botany is preferred, as well as experience working within a highly regulated market.
Compensation & Hours
The Medical Cannabis Cultivation Operations Manager holds a salary position, with a requirement for 40-50 hours per week. Wage is negotiable depending on experience. 420 HI State offers a health insurance plan to all full time employees.
